I think every girl is waiting for her prince to come, rescue her and cherish her forever.  I love how this book shows young ladies how to wait for their prince and how to live her life for the Lord while she's waiting.

I will admit I'm usually one to skip the introduction, I'm so glad I didn't this time.  Here's just a snippet.

"As the bride-to-be stepped up to stand next to her Groom, every negative emotion loosed its grip on her and departed forever.  Every pain that had burrowed its way into her soul disappeared for good. The Prince extended His hand and took hers…."You will never cry again, My love.  Welcome home.""

What a beautiful picture of Christ!!!  This introduction alone moved me to tears.

Sheri Rose Shepherd has really opened up her heart when she wrote this book.  She speaks from her mistakes and triumphs.  Walking away from the Lord and running to Him.

I would encourage this book to every young lady to read - especially those who are seeking what this world has to offer.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.

My Adult Tonsillectomy Story

Post Surgery as soon as I arrived home. For anyone who really knows me, I have always been completely terrified of surgery.  So when I went to an ENT and he said I needed a tonsillectomy I was not very happy.  I found out in either January or February and I couldn't make my appointment till the end of June because that's when my husband could get off work to help out.  I wrote this so I could hopefully help someone going through the same thing.  Without further ado, here goes. Week Before Surgery: This is when I started purchasing everything I had seen online that might be helpful.  I also started setting up an area on the main floor where I could be inclined for sleeping and have everything at my finger tips.  At the bottom of this post I will have a list of items that I personally found helpful for my recovery.  I also have food allergies and tried to stay away from them as much as possible.  So my food options may seem different than ma...

Summer Herbal Tea

I made this up a couple years ago and it has def. been a summer favorite for me as well as for my kids.  If you can't drink black tea because of the caffeine (or other reasons), give this a try. Ingredients: 3 parts red raspberry leaf tea (not raspberry flavored) 1 part peppermint tea water Directions: 1. Steep tea as your normally would.  For me I use enough boiled water for a 2 quart pitcher.  I usually add in 6 Red Raspberry tea bags and 2 Peppermint Tea Bags.  If I have bulk, each tea bag itself usually contains about 1 teaspoon of loose tea.  I steep for 10 - 15 minutes, then take the tea bags out. 2. Add sweetener to taste - honey, stevia, etc... 3. Chill. It's that simple. What you're left with is a refreshing glass of tea for those hot summer days.  Below are some benefits of each of these teas.  Use caution when drinking peppermint tea while pregnant.  Spearmint is generally a better option. Red Raspberry Leaf Pepper...
