Try it for free! Nothing But Soap on Etsy....Updates Below!

I was so excited to find this listing today on Etsy. Just find a $.10 cent listing on their site and follow the instructions. No payment necessary. I can't wait to try the soap I"ll be sampling. I'm always looking for new/natural products that I enjoy using. It's also great supporting a wham or someone who works out of their home. Very exciting indeed.

Check out this site for more information -

I have been using my soap now for the last couple days and it's lovely! Most homemade soaps leave a bit of film on the body, but this one does not. The scent was very subtle and lovely, not overpowering like lots of other soaps out there. I truly did feel refreshed after using this lovely product.

Cleaning out the garage and thrifty finds!

My husband decided that today would be a great day to clean out the garage due to some upcoming van repairs (transmission). Needless to say I'm elated that we'll have a clean garage. Little Jon thought he needed to help with this one.

While out resale shopping, I was hoping to find some organizing bins or something for Matt for the garage. Needless to say, I didn't find a thing for him. I did however find a few other things. I got some wall stickers I've been wanting for Jon and Joshua's room that are sold at Target. Instead of paying Target's high price of $12.99, I got them for $3.99!!! I also got those adorable clothes for my little niece, Annika. Can't wait to see them on her. The clothes and the wall stickers totaled $8.42. Can't complain about that.

Our newest addition

No it's not the baby - yet. lol. Sorry about the confusion. It's our fish, Einstein. I just thought I'd throw up a picture of our new pet and his admirer. It's so nice having another beta. I thought I wouldn't care when the last one went down the porcelain express after his life had ended. However, it sure is nice to have another little pet. Welcome to the family Einstein!

The Best Pizza Dough - Grandma Good's:)

I've been married now for 6 amazingly wonderful years to my perfect match. During that time I have used several different pizza dough recipes trying to find that one that is just right. Back track a bit to our first year of marriage. Among other food items, my Grandma Good gave me a container of yeast and her pizza crust recipe. I don't think I ever used the recipe since it had gotten lost in my recipe box. The picture of that lovely lady above is my dear Grandma Good.

Just recently I decided I'd go ahead and make it. Guess what, it's not only the best, it's the easiest pizza dough to make. No long rising time or anything. Here it is. Thanks so much Grandma Good! I only wish you lived closer so I could share some pizza with you.

Pizza Crust
Indredients: 1 cup plus 1/3 well rounded cup flour
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons instant yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water

1. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and add warm water.
2. Mix all above well with a fork.
3. Cover and let rest 5-10 minutes.
4. Turn out onto greased pan or ungreased pizza stone and roll out to the edges of the pan.
5. Top with favorite toppings and bake at 425 - 450 degrees till done. When the top looks done, the rest should be:)

Native Flowers and Smoothies

Today Lyshie went picking some of the Queen Anne's Lace I planted last year. I know, most of you will think I'm crazy for actually planting it. It is a great growing plant/weed in Michigan so why not?

While picking these I thought of my sil Sarah, who had many bouquets of these for her wedding reception. I was the one that actually got to put them together. Talk about feeling honored!

A few days ago I decided to make my own smoothies as a knock off of Tropical Smoothie. My son started to drink his and after telling me how much he liked he, he wanted me to take some pictures of him drinking it. lol! So here they are!

I used frozen strawberries purchased at Aldi (no sugar added), frozen banana halves, just a bit of plain yogurt, turbinado sugar and a bit of water. We like more banana than strawberry. I'm sure the options are limitless.

Crayons, Flowers & Thrifty Finds!

It's been so long since I've updated again that I thought I'd post a few fun things.

First, my husband came home the other day with a huge bouquet of real (not hybrid) roses. Absolutely gorgeous! The picture above does not capture all their beauty. It was a much needed surprise that day as things had been hard. Talk about making my week:)

With everything going on, the ER visits and other such issues, I had to start resting and putting up my feet more than I would have liked. So, because of that and the reminder of an amh friend that Christmas is only 6 months away, I started making up my Christmas list and doing a bit of shopping here and there as I saw things on clearance/sale. I'm totally done with my nieces, Lyshie and have something for my mom. I have figured out for everyone else except siblings what we'll be doing. For the nieces and nephews, with their gifts I'm giving them crayon cakes (all except 1 niece cause she's just too young). I had so much fun making them and can't wait to make more. I just peeled the crayons -mostly broken ones, broke them into pieces and put them into a cupcake tin. Heated the oven to 350 degrees and baked for just over 10 minutes. They took a couple hours or so to cool then I just popped them out. These are great for little toddler fingers. I must say it took forever to peel the crayons and I had crayon stuck all underneath my fingernails. lol.

Last but not least, today I went to the Goodwill store with my husband and son - my daughter is gone till Sunday:( I have been looking for a bookcase to put on a wall close to the kitchen table to put all the school books for this coming year in. I was hoping to have one this year but we just did not find one that we liked and/or was in our price range. While at Goodwill today, my husband saw this beautiful bookcase from Target with a salvage sticker on it. He didn't see anything wrong with it and it was only $14.99 compared to at least $70 or more at Target. We got it, brought it home and he found out the reason why it was salvaged was because a worker there was trying to put it together and didn't know what he was doing - so he thought there was something wrong with the bookcase. All the pieces were there and we just LOVE it! It's much more beautiful in person. We also got a new packages of size small vinyl diaper covers, a new oven mit, a new potholder, a new hair thing for my daughter and a nice looking black and clear organizer along with the bookcase all for a total of $21.30. I LOVE thrifty shopping!
