My New Exercise - Rebounding/Lymphasizing!

Above picture taken from http://www.necksecret.com/Bellicon_Rebounders.html Anyone with fatigue problems are told to make sure to get in some good but low impact exercise.  While we know this to be true, sometimes with fatigue issues you can make your fatigue problem much worse by exercising.  While studying up on the lymphatic system and what it does for the body, I decided I would start to try lymphasizing (rebounding).  I have not done regular exercise in about 2 years since my health took a not so fun turn.  That said, before then I LOVED to do Tae Boe.  While not totally consistent, I loved the workout.  However, at this point in my life, that's not an option.  Here I will share with you some information on rebounding as well as what I personally do. Changes I've already seen in the past couple weeks: 1. More endurance during the day. 2. More stamina during my workout. The below video is what I used in the beginning and now model my wor...

Homemade Vapor Type Rub - Natural Style ;)

There's a nasty cold going around with a cough that likes to linger. I didn't have any natural chest rub on hand so I thought I'd make some. Thank the Lord, I had everything but the eucalyptus essential oil on hand. I saw several recipes online that looked neat. I also wanted to make sure that whatever I made would be helpful for the kids and baby as well. I ended up meshing a couple recipes together (story of my life) and here's what I came up with. Ingredients: 1 tablespoon beeswax 5 tablespoons coconut oil 20 drops eucalyptus essential oil 6 drops lavender essential oil 3 drops tea tree oil Directions: 1. Using a double boiler (or I used a glass bowl in a boiling pot of water), melt the coconut oil and beeswax. Stir well. 2. After melted well till there are no more little pieces of beeswax, let the mixture sit a bit till it star...

My Journey Towards Better Health and Where I'm at Now

A picture my daughter took of me at the nature preserve. Isn't she a great photographer! I have been asked by several people over the years what led me down this different path. Well, here goes. This is nothing at all against the way I was raised - this is simply my story. As a child I developed hay fever around age 5. You can see in all my school pictures that my eyes are squinted and weepy for the first day of school. My first day of school was always taking mini kleenex packages with me and having semi-swollen and weeping eyes. As I got a bit older I started getting throat, tonsil and ear infections. It got to the point where I would have at least 2-3 cases of each every year. By the time I turned 17 I was calling in my doctor's office telling him what ailment I had and could he please get me an antibiotic. At age 21 as a single mom I had become anti-biotic resistant to everything but the $100 antibiotic. That was something I just could not afford. It was...
