Josiah Daniel has arrived!

My little nephew arrived on Christmas Day weighing in at 9lbs 7oz and was 22.5 inches long. We got to hold him a couple days later and were so happy to finally see him. For anyone who knows me, I usually see the new babies in the hospital. He's a sweetie and mama says he's nursing well. Yeah Josiah! I have a feeling you and Jon will be little buddies. How cool!

The Love of a Mother

It's been so long since I've posted anything on here. So sorry about that. I think it's amazing how God can help us forget just how sick we get during pregnancy or how hard labor is, so that we might try again for another. Having suffered previous losses, I am excited when I'm so sick during pregnancy - for that means everything will prob. be just fine. So, what am I saying? Well, if you don't know already, we are expecting a little bundle of Joy around mid August. I'm now very close to week 7 which is usually around the time most women really start getting very sick. It's hitting full force today which is making it very hard for me to even move from a chair or couch. However, I'm praising God that this baby seems to want to stay just where it is by making me all kinds of sick. lol. The love that I know I have for my children is so amazing and intense that a few weeks/months of sickness is so worth it. I wouldn't have understood that before any of my past losses. However, now realizing that we do not have control over our womb. It is not for us to decide when we will or won't have children. It's all in the Lord's hands. That's quite amazing. It took me realizing that it didn't matter how much we tried - until I surrendered this to Christ, I was not able to keep a pregnancy. Surrender is an amazing thing that I think we all learn over and over in every area of our lives. I think I'll just leave it at that for now. May you have a blessed Christmas this year and remember why it is that we celebrate - it is Christ's birth. Amen for that!

Thanksgiving Day:)

It was so nice having mom and dad up for Thanksgiving. As you can see from the pictures, no one took a picture of me. Oh well. The food and fellowship was wonderful. I hope your Thanksgiving was as blessed as ours. After lunch/dinner, my daughter put on a play on why we have Thanksgiving. It was so cute! Enjoy the pix!
