Vitacost - The cheaper place to get vitamins and supplements

Our family has personally been using vitacost now for a few years thanks to a recommendation by my friend Sheila.  It has saved us a lot of money over the years and shipping is a flat $4.99 per order.  It is not a company where you have to pay to join - you order from them like you would amazon, overstock and other online sites.  They just recently started a friend referral program which is doubly awesome!  If someone uses your personal referral code, you and that person get a $10 credit after that person places their first order.  This is not a membership, just a referral code.  Here are some of the products I've purchased in the past.  Over the past several years I've had a couple mistakes.  Either something wasn't in my order or it was ruined.  They have always been more than helpful to replace anything damaged at their cost.  It does take about 7 business days to get your order so keep that in mind.

Here is the referral code so we can both get $10 credit to our account.

I think every girl is waiting for her prince to come, rescue her and cherish her forever.  I love how this book shows young ladies how to wait for their prince and how to live her life for the Lord while she's waiting.

I will admit I'm usually one to skip the introduction, I'm so glad I didn't this time.  Here's just a snippet.

"As the bride-to-be stepped up to stand next to her Groom, every negative emotion loosed its grip on her and departed forever.  Every pain that had burrowed its way into her soul disappeared for good. The Prince extended His hand and took hers…."You will never cry again, My love.  Welcome home.""

What a beautiful picture of Christ!!!  This introduction alone moved me to tears.

Sheri Rose Shepherd has really opened up her heart when she wrote this book.  She speaks from her mistakes and triumphs.  Walking away from the Lord and running to Him.

I would encourage this book to every young lady to read - especially those who are seeking what this world has to offer.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.

The Circus Ship by Chris Van Dusen

We were at the library yesterday trying to find some fun books.
This book just happened to be up on a top shelf and in clear view.
Picked it up and flipped through the pages,
then took it over to the boys to see if they were interested.

Indeed they were!

This book was such a blessing to our family today.
My two older children have gotten into the habit
of bickering daily.

This story is about a mean circus owner
who treats his animals and everyone around him
HORRIBLE!

As you go through the book, you see how he's made everyone feel
and how someone nice can change things.

Through this colorful and delightful book
we were able to talk about
how we should treat one another
and how people feel when you treat them badly.

Thank you Chris Van Dusen!
We can't wait to check out some of your other books.

Valentine's Day 2012

Our family ended up celebrating Valentine's Day a little sooner this year for several reasons.  That day happened to be today!

Hearts all over.

Happy Valentine's Day

Even on the lights!  Such a simple and cute way to decorate.  The kids had so much fun.

Daddy and Lyshie making biscuits together for breakfast.

Daddy trying to make Lyshie look shorter.  lol!

Waiting for daddy so we can open gifts.

Boys acting so silly!

I asked Joshua to give me a kiss and this is what I got!

While waiting some more for daddy to show up, Lyshie told us she had a story to read us.  So cute!

Jon made these for everyone!

I made these for the boys.  The idea was from Pinterest.

Lyshie made this for her mama.  It's beautiful!

Piles of presents.  Daddy got hot sauce, 52 Ways I love you cards (from me), and his favorite candy from Japan.

Dinner was amazing!  Matt made us steak, carrots and potatoes while the kids had chicken sausages.  We also had sparkling cider from Aldi.  Best we've ever had!

Last but not least, dessert and pretty healthy at that!  I made truffles with honey, dark chocolate and cream.  The strawberries were stuffed with a cream cheese, honey and vanilla extract combination.  So yummy!  Some were rolled in unsweetened coconut and some in cocoa.  Everyone likes the coconut ones the best.  You'd be shocked at how much you don't miss the sweetened coconut.

I hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day as much as we did.  It has been quite the fun day for us all!
